Blog#39: David Icke and the Twin Flame
Part One
You may or may not be familiar with the concept of the Twin Flame. It is found mainly in certain mystical, energy, out-there, circles.
In brief, Twin Flames are meant for one another. They are embodiments of love eternal. Your twin flame is a soul that you will have been with in past lives and as past loves. The relationship may well be romantic, though that is not always so. It is Romeo and Juliet, Dante with Beatrice. The twin flame idea has its mirror in notions such as Jung's anima, the mystical marriage in alchemy, and so on, though I consider it also somewhat distinct and different.
In some places it is said that the twin flames are in fact one soul that has divided into two, for whatever reason: to become more aware of itself and its opposite, for example. Be that as it may, you can find folk who invest a good deal of time and emotional energy in the quest to find their twin flame. And then, once having come across a candidate, in attempting to discern whether this is a twin flame true or false.
In his recent book, 'The Trap', David Icke devotes a chapter to his own experience with a twin flame. I shall attempt a summary...
Part Two
While in his mid-teens and at school, David first met 'K'. The two proceeded to fall in love with each other. They didn't 'do' anything' as such, but the feelings were deep, apparently mutual. Then David moved away to begin his career as professional footballer. They kept in touch until one day, out of the blue and with no given reason, 'K' cut off all communication.
The junior Icke was devastated and confused. Nevertheless, as a motivated individual, he got on with his life and careers, firstly in football and then in broadcasting, ending up at the BBC.
It was 52 years later, in 2019, that 'K' made a reappearance. She appeared out of nowhere in a vivid dream. This was followed by days when David was aware of her accompanying him as a presence. And 'she' began speaking to him.
One day, wishing to test the reality of the contact, David was out walking when he asked her to demonstrate her reality by showing two birds together. There were no birds around. But within three seconds two birds flew out of a bush nearby and into the sky.
And so it continues. One day David is driving near Avebury Stone Circle in southern England, when she speaks to him with the words: "We are twin souls."
Synchronicity follows synchronicity. Two mediums were contacted by Icke, and each of them, independent of one another, came up with almost identical information from and about 'K'. This included material that only David and 'K' could possibly know about, personal stuff.
She had died in her 40's from a rare heart condition. They were indeed twin souls, but could not be together in this lifetime, because Icke had important work to do, and it would only distract him from that. But she was waiting for him.
The case seems pretty done and dusted. "Put it all together and the evidence before me was that 'K' was indeed communicating from another reality." As a researcher, David just needed to check one more thing out. He hired a tracer company that specialises in finding people. Eventually, they came back with the results of their investigations: 'K' was alive! Er, excuse me.....
A friend of David's hired a different company, and they returned the same. 'K' was alive, married, and furthermore had no interest in communication from anybody she had been to school with.
"From my life experience of more than thirty years, I knew that all this had not happened by chance .... there had to be a very significant reason for why this was put before me." And, following on, "...Synchronistically...... information began to appear in my life .... about the manipulation of 'after life reality' through the AI-controlled artificial simulation."
This all sounds very much 'out there'. From a conventional perspective, I suppose that it is. David himself admits that this is fresh territory, and it's all provisional, all work in progress. So what on earth is going on? Well, this is my own understanding of the situation:
Part Three
Matrix life. What is sometimes termed the Matrix is an artificial version of reality, overlaid on direct and genuine reality. Icke calls it 'a Bad Copy', as it superficially resembles the original version of life, but it is just that, a copy. Once the copy has been made, it can be reshaped and distorted to ones own advantage. Unlike the original, which contains uniqueness, originality, proper creativity - being connected to Higher Consciousness, Source, whatever -, the Bad Copy is purely programmed existence. It cannot by definition create anything new. It is a simulation
In Buddhism a distinction is traditionally made between nirvana and samsara; the former denotes an enlightened mind, the latter ignorance. I take this as an analysis of a natural state of affairs. The matrix is an extra layer superimposed on the natural samsara. It is not natural, and is designed to keep humans in the grip of samsara, revolving on the hamster wheel, for perpetuity, removing any chance they may have of serious betterment and eventual escape. It is interesting that Buddhism, at least in its exoteric forms, does not mention the matrix in any shape or form. Maybe it was less 'thick', less of an issue, 2500 years ago - this is almost certainly the case. Whether there are other more devious reasons, I would not really know.
Gnostics were familiar with the machinations of the matrix, and described it through their description of the archons. These are inorganic entities, which lead humans into deluded beliefs through mind-infestation. They are equivalent to what nowadays is termed AI, artificial intelligence. Like AI, they appear smart, but have no originality; they simply copy and mimic, twisting and distorting what is already there. For their troubles, Gnostics were essentially wiped out by various early Christian groups.
The Matrix manifests in human life most obviously in '3D', which is the realm of physical reality, and of linear time-and-space. Conditioning, programming, strongly-held but unexamined ideas and belief-systems are the way that the Matrix shows itself above all else. There is, however, an increasing problem for the perpetrators of the Matrix. Increasing numbers of people are becoming aware of how the whole shitshow goes on. They are no longer falling for the not-at-all-merry go round of fake illnesses, fabricated wars, fear-inducing threats of freezing and starvation, the endless ploys of divide-and-rule, be it through race, gender, nationality, anything really. The Matrix has a problem.
Where you cannot get them through the Matrix in 3D, maybe you can delude them in 4D. This is the non-physical world, where time-and-space work in various ways, where past-present-future is all a bit wobbly. It runs parallel to the physical world, and it is reasonable to assume that many of the woes which we experience in the physical realm originate outside it, in 4D.
So, as an example, take somebody like me. It's actually quite difficult for the Matrix to catch me in 3D manifestation. I may fall for some of its tricks, but not for long. I've learnt quite a bit - it's been a matter of personal survival. What's more, I don't identify strongly with this physical world, so it's quite problematic to induce fear in me. It can be done a bit, but I'm not saying how.
But while I am seriously underwhelmed by what 3D life has to offer, I'm a sucker for the non-physical. Telepathy, Tarot, out-of-the-body experience; synchronicity, magic, distance healing; synchronicity and yet more synchronicity. The Matrix is far more likely to enchant some of the more 'awake' people through such phenomena than with its more obvious everyday ways.
As apparently physical beings, we can easily see the non-physical in terms of 'wow!' It's outside the range of our normal, and therefore seductive (to some of us, anyway). But simply because it's non-physical does not automatically mean that it is anywhere nearer to Buddha, God, Infinite Awareness, whatever.
Channelling, contact with ETs, psychics, mediums, astrology, Tarot. Not everybody's cup of tea. But, Icke explains, the difficulty lies in whether the information received, even if genuine, comes from outside or within the simulation (the 3D/4D matrix). Is it from a higher dimension of reality that you would really like to hear from? Or is from the conglomerate of dark consciousness that is actually the driving force behind the whole mess on planet Earth? Not an easy question to answer. David suggests that, if the experience is felt primarily in the heart as a direct knowing, it's probably reliable. If it's more like voices in the head, then manipulation red alert.
Not that this is only relevant for astrologists and Tarot readers. The manipulation is going on all the time, everyone included. It is, if David is correct, where the real action takes place, and what we see in the physical realm is merely a reflection of the non-physical.
The character of the Oracle in the Matrix movies seems related to this phenomenon.
Sorry folks; just when you thought you could escape this one....
Finally, to return to the twin flame. There is a more completely 'mystical' and archetypal meaning, which is related to the way in which duality expresses in the Universe. This is interesting. As for the more commonly-understood notion, I've never really been sold on it. I get a bit psychological. Anima, yes. Twin flame....hmmmmm.
