A Postscript
Now here's a thing..... Hot on the heels of my recent piece about David Icke and the 'so far, no further' elements in the 'mainstream alternative', two of its big players appear to have pushed the boat out a bit.
Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson have been openly discussing how there seem to be non-human entities or energies out there, some light but many dark ones, who are influencing, if not controlling, the direction of human society. Sound familiar????
Jones and Carlson both have large numbers of followers, so this is worth taking note of. Alex Jones has run 'Infowars' since time immemorial; he had a serious run-in with the 'authorities' a while ago about his handling of the Sandy Hook affair. He was given a surreally large fine, about which I know nothing as to what has happened; but he seems to have survived OK. Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson was one of the major figures on Fox News in the USA until they kicked him off. Undeterred, he has gone on to probably expand his popularity, especially through his high profile on Twitter/X.
I don't follow the work of either of them. In truth, I find Alex Jones's shouting and ranting almost unbearable. But such high profile guys in the 'alternative' prodding the envelope like this, however tentatively, must surely be a good thing.
Needless to say, David Icke is not happy. Jones and Carlson make these very public pronouncements, he points out, without a word of the man who has been writing about this for twenty years - and getting a bucketload of grief as a result. I know that Alex Jones is indeed indebted to David for some of his information on the topic of non-human manipulation of events on Earth, because I watched an interview between the two of them just recently. Even the language he uses comes from Icke.
So this is disingenuous, I suggest. How much of David's gripe is a personal miff, and how much is from a 'higher ethical basis', I do not know. But it would seem that many people remain scared of mentioning the word 'Icke' for fear of what it will do to their reputation. This may be considered expedient, but it does not come with a lot of personal honour. Besides, David Icke is respected by far far more people today than was the case a decade ago. His work during the convid saga has been applauded by many people who previously might have been sceptical.
In the meantime, the non-human entities are out there, working hard at it 24/7. I don't think they do Christmas.....
